Questions

Are these artworks free to use?

Yes. Each work is from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Open Access collection, released under Creative Commons Zero (CC0). The credit line and accession number are on each page.

Can I buy prints here?

Yes, 32 made-to-order products across 16 works (posters and mugs). Works without a product say so and offer a form to be told when one is available. Made to order in the US: about 10 days to produce, then shipping (transit time not yet verified).

How do you decide which sizes a work supports?

We count the pixels in the museum's image and test standard poster sizes for sharpness (150 pixels per inch or better) and cropping (under 10% of the image). The numbers are computed, not judged by eye.
