Best bath towel sets: what to look for before you buy
A buying checklist for bath towel sets, with what eBay buyers actually paid. We do not stock this type, so the advice is not steering you to our own product.
Look at the weight per square metre and the fibre, then check the size of each piece. A thicker, longer-staple cotton towel dries you well and holds up in the wash.
On 2026-11-01, eBay buyers paid a median of $29.99 for bath towel sets (search "bath towels set"), across 4,900 sold listings. It is a market read, not a quote. Jump to the search shortcuts or read the 7 checks first.

What to look for: 7 checks
These are the points that separate a good bath towel sets from a poor one, in the order they usually matter.
- Weight in GSM450 to 600 GSM is a good everyday range. Under 400 feels thin, over 700 is slow to dry and heavy to wash.
- Fibrelong-staple cotton such as Turkish or Egyptian has smoother loops and sheds less lint. Short-staple cotton sheds for the first few washes.
- Weavering-spun or combed cotton loops are denser and more absorbent. Rayon from bamboo feels soft but pills sooner.
- Piece sizesa bath towel at 70 by 140 cm covers you, a bath sheet at 90 by 150 cm is larger. Check what the set includes in hand towels and washcloths.
- Edge stitchinga double-stitched hem stops fraying. Look at the end seam, as that is where cheap towels start to unravel.
- Colour fastnessdark colours can bleed in the first wash. Check whether the maker advises washing separately.
- Caretowels that go through a hot wash and tumble dry without shrinking more than a few percent are easier to live with.
The mistake to avoid
- A set listed at a high GSM can be one thin towel in a heavy weave. Check the weight of the bath towel itself, not just the set.

$29.994,900 sold listings · read 2026-11-01
On 2026-11-01, eBay buyers paid a median of $29.99 for bath towel sets (search "bath towels set"), across 4,900 sold listings. That is real money changing hands on eBay, which makes it a useful anchor when you compare asking prices elsewhere.
How to read it: the count is the sold-result total eBay shows for a search of sold and completed listings, and the median is from the first page of prices (about 60 listings, new and used mixed). It is not an Amazon price, it ignores shipping and condition, and it does not say what a given product is worth. A different spec will sit well above or below it.

Questions
Why do new towels not absorb well?
Manufacturing softeners coat the fibres. One or two washes without fabric softener removes that and restores absorbency.
How many sets do I need?
Two bath towels per person lets one dry while the other is used, plus a spare pair for guests.

Does Nuva Supply sell bath towel sets?
Not yet. You can ask us to stock bath towel sets on the item page and we email you once if we do.
Are the Amazon links paid?
Yes. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. The links open an Amazon search, not a particular listing, and cost you nothing extra. We have not tested any product, and we show no Amazon prices because we cannot check them.
Nuva Supply does not sell bath towel sets, so this page carries no commercial interest in the product itself. We do earn a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases made through the search links, and the link labels say so. Nothing here is independent testing.
